FunkTank is an experienced band who are aware your night needs the extra entertainment and thrill that no DJ can provide on his own.
FunkTank can play 3x40minute sets but we find 2x50minutes sets helps the flow of the evening. We don’t want to stop, just as the dance floor is filling up!

FunkTank comprises of 7 performers and is suitable for most venue sizes although you should check the size of the room you're hiring and the area the band will be playing in. Most venues will specify where the band should play.

It will also be worth checking if the venue has any restrictions on arrival and set up times for the band. If the band are playing in the same room that you are having your meal you will need to make arrangements for the band to either arrive much earlier in the day, or to arrange for a 60 minute break after the meal so the band can bring their equipment in, set up and sound check.

Another factor to keep in mind is whether the venue has a bar in the same room as the band. Separating the bar and band can lead to a large dispersion of people.

One more thing to check with your venue is if they have any restrictions on volume levels. Some bands are louder than others and if the venue has another function going on next-door they may place restrictions on what time the band can sound check, perform & finish.

FunkTank takes a minimum of 60 minutes to set up depending on how far the equipment needs to be moved.

FunkTank provides all it’s own equipment (unless a very large venue), which is all PAT tested and covered by our Public Liability insurance. Our PA is powerful enough to provide a great depth of sound with out having to rely on volume; we more than appreciate not all parties are in clubs! Our lighting is suitable to light the band and dance floor – extra lighting can be arranged for larger venues.
